Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji hopes that Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) can further strengthen Indonesia's diversity through broadcasts presented to the wider community.

As a public broadcasting institution, RRI's role is quite strategic in maintaining national unity, in addition to protecting society from the onslaught of information and culture in today's global current.
"RRI must be a filter amidst the rapid flow of information so far. RRI's role is quite important in maintaining the moral and ethical resilience of the nation and maintaining diversity in Indonesia," said Sutiaji at the RRI Tri Prasetya Torch counseling event in commemoration of the 72nd Radio Day of the Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP) RRI Malang, Monday (11/9) at RRI Studio I Malang, Jl. Candi Panggung Malang.
Deputy Mayor Sutiaji also appealed to RRI to conduct a survey to the community related to the programs needed by the community, without leaving the Indonesian identity. This is quite important considering that currently technological progress cannot be stopped so that RRI must seize the opportunity by knowing the needs of the listeners.
"So far we have been helped by RRI broadcasts. We hope that RRI astronauts can provide good and beneficial broadcasts for the community," he hoped.
The 72nd Radio Day commemoration event was attended by Deputy Mayor Sutiaji and also by Member of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives Nurhayati Ali Assegaf. In her speech, Nurhayati advised RRI to continue providing positive information to the public.
In fact, Nurhayati said, from the information distributed by RRI, it can enrich the information of the community which will eventually lead to an increase in the level of welfare. (say/yon)
