Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The release of the 2017 National Healthy City Verification Team was held at the Sports Health Service Center (PPKO) Building, Jl. Karya Timur No. 10, Purwantoro Village, Blimbing District, Malang City, Thursday (14/9).
The team led by Revi Rinda Nugraini was officially released by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton accompanied by the Head of the Malang City Health Office Dr. dr. Asih Tri Rachmi Nuswantari, MM.
Revi Rinda said in her evaluation after conducting an assessment and verification in Malang City, she said that Malang City has many advantages, one of which is that the water in Malang City has excellent quality.
There are even many water facilities that can be consumed directly at several points in Malang City. In addition, according to him, Malang City is also very friendly to the disabled, this is shown by the many facilities for the disabled. "In principle, Malang City is quite good in the seven assessment levels that have been determined," he explained.
Revi also appreciates the traffic services in Malang City. "Traffic services in Malang City are quite good, because everything is web-based. Emissions and KIR tests are also web-based," he added.
However, from the overall assessment that has been done, the assessment team still provides some input. Among others, the unavailability of mass transportation in Malang City which deserves special attention from the local government for the sake of improving services to the community.
Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton said that all parties have paid attention to various things that have been conveyed by the assessment team. The wider community has recognized Malang City as a pilot location, so Malang City must develop the health and development sectors for the benefit of children.
"We will also make a pedestrian path that is at least five meters wide so that it can be useful for pedestrians, the disabled and the elderly," explained Abah Anton, as he is familiarly called.
Abah Anton also expressed his hope that Malang City could implement smart city as soon as possible in various sectors so that in the future Malang City will be even better. (say/yon)
