Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – In 2017, the Indonesian Ministry of Health will launch a program flying hospital or air hospital. This program is one of the Government's preparedness in terms of emergency care and treatment, as well as for equalizing health services.
This was conveyed by the Indonesian Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. dr. Nila Djuwita F. Moeloek, Sp.M (K) when opening 3rd National Annual Scientific Meeting Emergency Medicine, Saturday (16/9) at the Harris Hotel, Malang City. In its implementation, the Ministry of Health will not buy its own plane, but will cooperate with several airlines.
Nila added, the program flying hospital This will be prioritized for eastern Indonesia, such as Papua. "So far, health services in the peripheral regions of Indonesia have been less than optimal, so this program is quite effective," he explained.
The bespectacled woman said that in the near future, her party will prepare everything such as medical equipment and the health workers needed. "For the initial program, we will operate flying hospital "This is according to needs," added the Minister of Health.
"On the other hand, in the future, world developments will continue to occur. For example, currently there are many cases of mass accidents, and epidemiological transitions due to population growth, easy migration of people, to climate change," he said.
Regarding this program, what is no less important according to Minister Nila is that we must learn from the case of the outbreak of the Ebola virus, where at that time WHO was not able to handle it because only 16 percent of countries were ready to overcome its spread. (say/yon)
