Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Exactly on Thursday, September 21, 2017, coinciding with the Islamic New Year 1439 Hijriah or commonly called 1 Suro, various Javanese activities and cultures always color it.
As implemented by Balearjosari Village, Blimbing District, Malang City, by holding tumpengan and cultural procession to commemorate 1 Suro in 2017. The event attended by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton was lively.
Balearjosari Village Head, Ardi Nufianto, SE said, this routine activity is attended by seven RW, 44 RT throughout Balearjosari Village. "This event is held every two years to commemorate 1 Suro or the Islamic New Year," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang in his speech urged that existing culture must continue to be maintained and its existence preserved.
"The Malang City Government would like to thank the residents of Balearjosari, because until this modern era they still maintain the culture of 1 Suro," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton, Thursday (21/9).
