Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The commemoration of the 2017th National Sports Day 28 in Malang City was held at Gajayana Stadium, Thursday (9/2017). On this occasion, athletes and coaches of Malang City who achieved proud achievements at the XNUMX Kuala Lumpur Sea Games were given appreciation and paraded around Malang City.

The 2017 Sea Games Athlete Appreciation Parade in Malang City started at Gajayana Stadium and finished at Malang City Hall. The athletes and coaches who brought honor to Malang City and Indonesia in this prestigious event received achievement bonuses.
The gold medal won by Malang City athletes at the 29th Sea Games was won by Atjong Tio Purwanto from the 3.000-meter hurdles. Previously, Atjong had also won a silver medal at the 2013 Thailand Open in the 3.000-meter hurdles.
The second gold medal for Malang City's female athletes was presented by Elga Kharisma Novanda in the BMX category. A silver medal was also contributed by Malang City's cycling athlete Crismonita Dwi Putri.
On this occasion, a prize was also given to racer Popo Aryo Sejati who won first place in the downhill championship in Australia. Another award was given to Malang City shooting athlete Supriono.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton greatly appreciates the success of Malang City athletes in achieving achievements at the Kuala Lumpur Sea Games and various other championships.
"We deliberately welcome Malang City athletes who have achieved the best possible results, with the hope of increasing the enthusiasm of athletes, coaches and sports instructors in Malang City to carry out coaching," explained the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton by Malang City residents, (28/9).
