Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Following up on the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 57/M-DAG/PER/8/2017 concerning the Determination of the Highest Retail Price (HET) for Rice, Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) of Malang City conducting price monitoring at several locations in Malang City, Monday (2/10).

Direct monitoring was attended by the Assistant for Economic Affairs of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Ir. Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi, MT, Head of the Economic Development Section Dra. Rinawati, MM, related OPDs, Forkopimda, and from BPS.
The target monitoring locations are divided into 3 categories, namely Oro-Oro Dowo Market representing traditional markets, UD Angger representing distributors, and Giant Ekstra Supermarket representing modern markets. This price monitoring activity is carried out to maintain the stability and affordability of rice prices and to maintain the availability of rice and salt.
"We as the government through the Minister of Trade have set the highest retail price, from here we as the government must also be present to monitor whether the conditions in the field are appropriate or there is an increase, because if the price fluctuates it will affect inflation," said Rina.
The bespectacled woman added that after monitoring, it seemed that there was no increase, prices had started to fall and stock availability was also safe.
From the monitoring results conducted from the three places, the prices are relatively the same, such as premium rice in the price range of Rp 74.000 to Rp 77.000, oil in the price range of Rp 24.000 per two liters, sugar 11.500 per kilogram, and salt Rp. 2500 per pack.
After monitoring, the agenda is continued with evaluation and coordination with related OPDs, so that it is hoped that later there will be no insufficient food stock in Malang City. (say/yon)
