Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Kompas Daily held a discussion entitled 'Synergy between the Private Sector and Policy Makers in Developing MSMEs' at the Santika Hotel Malang, Tuesday (10/10).

Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji was present to open the event. In his speech, he said that through this activity, steps to jointly foster and advance micro, small and medium enterprises could be further concreted.
Deputy Mayor Sutiaji also welcomed the activity initiated by Harian Kompas together with PT HM Sampoerna. According to him, this activity is very good for fostering the spirit of MSMEs in Malang City to achieve success.
This discussion also presents competent speakers in their fields, namely, the Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service of Malang City Dra. Tri Widyani Pangestuti, M.Si, Vicky Arief Herinadharma from Malang Creative Fusion, Mahfud Syah from PT HM Sampoerna, and Mrs. Karyani (UMKM actor).
Head of the East Java Kompas Daily Bureau, Agnes Swetta Pandia, revealed the habit so far, especially when approaching the regional head election, UMKM is like a girl who is at her sexiest. Many parties are interested in approaching and proposing but after the event takes place UMKM is often forgotten.
"We hope that this activity can help synergize the private sector and policy makers in developing MSMEs, especially in the East Java region," Agnes hoped, Tuesday (10/10).
Agnes added that Indonesia's economic situation requires more small businesses to be able to drive the economy in the real sector, so collaboration is needed from all sectors to revive the passion of small businesses to revive the economy in the regions.
The object of the discussion is how to create a discussion that describes a mutually beneficial synergy between the community, policy makers and the private sector, especially in terms of developing the economy through small and medium enterprises.
Building understanding in the private sector can also make a very important contribution to achieving the success of SME partners, especially in a mutually beneficial partnership format.
Also an introduction to strategic programs and supporting facilities owned by PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, especially in the aspect of SME development. Providing an understanding through direct success stories from actors who have participated in the partnership program and are able to utilize it to achieve success in the SMEs they pioneered.
