Central Maluku Regency Government Gains Knowledge in Malang City

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The success of Malang City in various aspects of development has made several regions start to make this city known as the City of Education as a model. One of the regions interested in visiting to gain knowledge in Malang City is Central Maluku Regency.

The group led directly by the Regent of Central Maluku, Tuasikal Abua, was received directly by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji and the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Friday (13/10).

In his presentation, Deputy Mayor Sutiaji said that Malang City has always been committed to implementing its development vision and mission with the aim of improving the welfare of the community.

Although geographically Malang City is not very large, with a population of around 895 thousand people, the Malang City Government continues to optimize various existing things, especially in three areas, namely education, tourism and industry.

Deputy Mayor Sutiaji said, for the education sector, from free school programs to the development of educational infrastructure continues to be carried out by the city government. Even for the tourism sector, although not like Malang Regency which is famous for its beach tourism, and Batu City with its artificial tourism, the number of tourist visits to Malang City, both domestic and foreign, continues to increase.

"This is because we continue to innovate in how to attract tourists through arts and cultural tourism to culinary tourism," said Sutiaji.

It was also explained that in the field of environmental cleanliness and waste management, Malang City is currently continuing to strive to make waste into something useful for the community.

For example, in TPA Supit Urang, currently leachate from waste is utilized by residents for methane gas. This is what continues to be developed so that Malang City is now collaborating with Germany to develop it.

"In the budgeting sector yesterday, our SAKIP also received a B grade and we are optimistic that this year (2017) we will get an A grade," he said.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Central Maluku, Tuasikal Abua, expressed his gratitude to the Malang City Government for welcoming the working visit group.

He said that in the current era, environmental-based development is very important to be realized, and the Central Maluku Regency Government believes that what Malang City has done can be emulated.

"We hope this visit is useful and what is appropriate will be implemented in our area," Tuasikal Abua hoped. (say/yon)
