72nd Anniversary of East Java Province in Malang City

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton acted as inspector at the 72nd Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of East Java Province held in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Friday (13/10).

Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton presented a certificate of appreciation to retired ASN

Also present at this event were Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji, Chairperson of TP PKK Malang City Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani, along with the Forkopimda of Malang City.

In the speech of the Governor of East Java read by the Mayor of Malang, it was conveyed that the Commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of the Province of East Java is a momentum to foster a sense of unity and togetherness, encourage the spirit of belonging and building the region and strengthen the sense of love of the people in the East Java region within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"The most important wisdom of commemorating the Anniversary of East Java Province is as a form of expression of gratitude for the dynamic historical journey of East Java that has been able to achieve progress for better people's welfare," explained the Mayor of Malang, who is often called Abah Anton, reading the speech of the Governor of East Java.

Economic growth reaching 5,21 percent and faster than the national economic growth of 5,01 percent is the performance of the regents and mayors along with the community and the business world in East Java which is extraordinary. Because in the midst of the slowing global demand dynamics, East Java is still growing rapidly and faster than the national.

In the midst of East Java's economic growth, we still have homework that needs to get a high portion of strategic policy, namely the addition of a new workforce in 2018 reaching 326.629 people. So that our workforce is estimated to reach 21.216.629 people, up from the 2017 position which reached 20.890.000 people.

Therefore, economic growth that tends to slow down even though it is still faster than national growth must be able to solve the problems and challenges of the 'demographic bonus'. "Why is that? The demographic bonus, if not managed properly, will cause demographic catastrophe or demographic disaster," he continued.

On that occasion, award certificates were also presented to 60 ASN (state civil servants) who had retired from their duties within the Malang City Government.

As part of the East Java Province Anniversary Commemoration, an Exhibition of Superior Products from 15 Vocational High Schools in Malang City was also held.

The exhibition was held along Jl Gajahmada with the theme 'Improving Human Resources Through Vocational Education as a Solution Towards Independent and Globally Competitive East Java'. The exhibition was officially opened by Abah Anton accompanied by Deputy Mayor Sutiaji. (say/yon)
