Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to commemorate the Islamic New Year 1439 Hijri, Saturday (14/10) the Muharram Parade with the theme 'Knitting Islamic Brotherhood within the Framework of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution' was held.

Participants in this parade are estimated to reach more than 50 thousand participants from all TK/RA/TA/BA, MI, MTs, MA, State and Private as well as Islamic Boarding Schools. Also enlivening the event were MUI together with Islamic mass organizations such as NU, Muhammadiyah, Muslimat NU, Fatayat and Aisyiyah.
The Muharram Parade moment is utilized as well as possible to strengthen togetherness and increase the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and human brotherhood. Every event that is inspired by Islam, tens of thousands of Muslims take part in the gathering event that is full of a very harmonious kinship atmosphere.
In addition, this activity can also function as a unifying tool for Muslims and other religious communities in Malang City. Hopefully, with togetherness and harmony, it will lead to increasingly conducive regional conditions so that it can support the implementation of development better.
After a joint prayer led by the Chairman of the MUI of Malang City, KH. M. Baidowi Muslich. The Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton and Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani symbolically released the Muharram Parade by releasing green balloons and starting flags accompanied by the KB/BA Restu 1 Malang drum band attraction.
“Have you all got your coupons? If you have, don’t lose them. It’s a loss if you don’t, later the prize is an Umrah for five people with my family,” shouted the Mayor of Malang who is familiarly called Abah Anton on the sidelines of the release of the Muharram Parade participants.
Abah Anton added that through this parade, it is hoped that it can further strengthen Islamic brotherhood and maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia which is based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. "Indonesia is a big country with various diversities. Therefore, it is our joint obligation to always maintain it," he added.
Various elements of society, such as from NU and Muhammadiyah circles, united in this event. Before the parade participants departed, a declaration and signing of a commitment was held to realize a sense of brotherhood and togetherness, in order to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
The route of the 2017 parade starts and finishes at Malang City Hall. The route is Malang City Hall - Kahuripan Street - Basuki Rahmat Street - Jami Mosque - Al Hasyim Asy'ari Street - Ade Irma S Street - Pasar Besar Street - Kidul Dalem Street - Arif Rahman Street - Majapahit Street - finish at Malang City Hall.
And finally the lucky ones who got the umrah prize at the Muharram Parade were M. Hasan from Bumiayu. Budi from Ngaglik, and M. Cholili from Madrasah Darul Quran. There will still be two more winners of the umrah draw that is still ongoing. Later all the winners will be announced in the media partner of the Muharram Parade committee. (say/yon)
