Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government has continued to improve public services over the past few years. One of the most basic public service sectors is at the sub-district and district levels, so there needs to be continuous improvement.
In an effort to improve this, the Government Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat held Technical Guidance on the Management and Utilization of Village and Sub-district Profiles in the Framework of Increasing the Capacity of Sub-district Government at the Regent Hotel, Tuesday (24/10) to Wednesday (25/10).
In the speech of the Mayor of Malang read by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH, it was conveyed that the arrangement of village and sub-district profiles (Prodeskel) is very important to do, because it is related to a comprehensive picture of the character of villages/sub-districts in a sub-district.
"The profile includes basic family data, natural resource potential, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, developments and problems faced by a sub-district," said Wasto.
He explained that village and sub-district profile data is important to be utilized as a picture for policy makers to roll out various programs and at the same time encourage self-reliant and self-initiated sub-districts to become self-sufficient sub-districts.
"All of this can be realized if there is synergy and active support from all components of society with all sub-district and village officials," he said.
Wasto, in this case representing Abah Anton, greatly appreciated the implementation of this activity because it was a strategic step in increasing the capacity of the sub-district government as a bureaucratic chain as well as a facilitator between the community and various government programs.
"On behalf of the Mayor of Malang, I hope that the sub-district apparatus will be able to oversee the arrangement of the village profile optimally so that it is expected to obtain an accurate picture of the potential and level of development of the village," he concluded. (say/yon)
