Dinkop and UM Invite PKK to Actively Develop Cooperatives

"The mothers' enthusiasm for struggle and building it is extraordinary. Through this activity, we hope that cooperatives in Malang City can be even better in the future," said Yani, Tri Widyani's nickname, Wednesday (25/10).

He added, through cooperatives can also be a means of worship for mothers to be able to contribute to the welfare of society. Moreover, currently many mothers are already struggling with the world of cooperatives, so it is very important to do a refresher.

"The values ​​contained in cooperatives will bring many benefits, especially to improve the welfare of its members," explained the woman who was once the Head of the Malang City Communication and Information Service.

Good cooperative management, said Yani, can restore the spirit of cooperatives to jointly improve the welfare of members. As cooperatives in developed countries such as England, Japan and Spain.

Meanwhile, Head of Cooperative Development Division of the Cooperative and Micro Business Service of Malang City Noegroho Dwi Poetranto, SH, reminded that cooperatives are the mainstay of the Indonesian economy. Cooperatives are a means of community empowerment that can also absorb labor.

"In the 1997 economic crisis, cooperatives proved that they could still survive. For that reason, we continue to encourage and develop cooperatives," he added.

Nugroho added that cooperatives were established to overcome various problems faced by their members and the community in general.

Socialization as according to Noegroho needs to be done to invite the general public and PKK members in Malang City to join as cooperative members. Because currently in every sub-district already has a women's cooperative, of course the opportunity to join as a member is still very open.

"By having many members, of course, the cooperative is getting stronger. Malang City has 57 sub-districts, all sub-districts have cooperatives, this is certainly a great potential that can be developed," concluded Noegroho. (cah/yon)
