Dinkop & UM Provides Processed Food Product Training

Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government through the Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service held a Work Skills and Ability Development activity for Cooperative Members through Food Product Processing Training at the Same Hotel Malang, Thursday (23/11) to Friday (24/11).

This activity was attended by 77 participants consisting of all women's cooperative members from 57 sub-districts in Malang City.

This event presented the Head of the Technical Implementation Unit of the Food, Beverage and Packaging Industry of East Java Province, Ir. Tri Winarni who presented material on processed food products.

Currently, Tri Winarni said, business opportunities in the food processing sector are very promising. In Malang City alone, if you can take the existing opportunities, according to Tri Winarni the demand will be extraordinary. Not to mention the demand from outside the region which is also no less.

"The culinary business never dies. Now it's just a matter of how people package processed food products to be attractive. The market is still very open," said Tri.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cooperative Development Division of the Malang City Cooperative and Micro Business Service, Noegroho Dwi Poetranto, SH, who read the speech of the Head of the Malang City Cooperative and Micro Business Service, said that the Malang City Government is very serious about developing cooperatives in order to improve the welfare of its members.

"We hope that this activity can further improve the ability of cooperative members to develop their businesses. So that the cooperatives they join can continue to grow," he explained, Thursday (23/11).

This training is filled with coaching on food processing skills to utilize the many natural resources available. At the same time, it meets the high demand for various processed products from Malang City which is growing day by day.

"The large number of campuses in Malang City has increased demand. The presence of immigrants to Malang City has certainly become a large market," he added.

He added, becoming a member of a cooperative can certainly create a mutually beneficial business unit. Through the cooperative, of course, you can order various materials needed for business at a cheaper price, the cooperative can also grow because of the business owned by its members.

This training is the first wave, which will be continued with the second wave of training which is scheduled to be held on November 25-26, 2017, and the third will be held on November 29-30, 2017.
