Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Communication and Information Service (Kominfo) held Online Media Journalism Technical Guidance with participants from State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Malang City Government at the Ibis Styles Malang Hotel, Monday (27/11).
In this training, participants are taught how to package and create good journalistic photos. This event was opened by the Head of Public Information Division of the Malang City Communication and Information Service, Ismintarti, SP representing the Head of the Malang City Communication and Information Service.
The speakers presented were Muhaimin from the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Malang City for news content and Nedi Putra AW from the Indonesian Photojournalists Association (PFI) of Malang City who presented material on photojournalism.
Ismintarti, while reading Zulkifli Amrizal's speech, said that the development of technology today is very rapid, including in news reporting. The development of information can also be felt instantly without knowing the limits of space and time.
"What happens in this place can be known instantly in other parts of the world," said Ismintarti when opening the event.
Seeing this, of course, public awareness of the importance of information is needed to foster a spirit of sharing with anyone. The dissemination of information is now no longer dominated by journalists and press companies.
“Everyone now has a role to play as an information agent for the wider community. This is what gives rise to what is commonly called citizen journalism (citizen journalism) or citizen apparatus (civil servant journalist)," he continued.
In addition to the positive content of the rapid spread of information, there is also a lot of negative content. The spread of information hoax (fake news), hate speech inevitably also appears in society and cannot be stopped.
Based on that, training for ASN Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) can improve the community's ability to block bad information. Through this activity, it is hoped that more positive content can be produced to balance the large amount of negative content that is so abundant on the internet. (ram/yon)
