Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Environmental Service (DLH) held a Public Complaints Socialization in the Environmental Sector at the Trio Indah 2 Hotel, Malang, Monday (27/11).

This event was attended by 114 participants from 57 sub-districts in Malang City. Through this socialization, it is hoped that residents in Malang City will have adequate insight to jointly protect and preserve the environment.
The socialization speaker from the East Java Provincial Environmental Agency, Fitri Leo Prasianingrum, revealed that currently environmental pollution is increasingly occurring. It takes a joint effort so that environmental sustainability can be restored and improved again.
"It takes a joint effort, including the community to play a role and protect the environment. One way is to dare to report if there is environmental pollution," explained Fitri Leo Prasianingrum.
He said, in his experience, there have been many developments that first build their buildings and then apply for environmental permits. This should not happen again. Because, if it happens, it will be very detrimental to the community.
"What should be done before constructing a building is to take care of the environmental impact analysis (amdal) permit. If the permit is issued, then construction begins, not reversed by building first, then taking care of the permit," he continued.
Fitri Leo Prasianingrum admitted that there needs to be continuous and ongoing education to educate the public so that they can love the environment. If no efforts are made to preserve the environment, it will certainly be a matter of time before environmental damage occurs, the impact of which will clearly be detrimental to the community itself.
Now is not the time to blame each other for environmental damage. But it is necessary to synergize efforts to make the environment healthy together.
Meanwhile, the speaker from the Malang City Communication and Information Service, namely the Head of the Public Information Management Section, Laode Kulaita B. Al-Fitra, SP, MM said, currently in Malang City there is a public complaint center based on SMS and website. So the people of Malang City can complain about anything related to public services in Malang City.
"Sambat Online is an online Integrated Community Questioning Application System managed by the Communication and Informatics Service of the Malang City Government. Through this application, anyone can send suggestions, criticisms, questions or complaints about the Malang City Government," he said.
In addition, the public can also send a complaint SMS to the number 081 333 47 1111 and the website address sambat.malangkota.go.id. Currently, Laode continued, the public no longer needs to complain about government services to the relevant agency office. But simply complain through the available application.
"In today's digital age. There is no longer a need for people to tire themselves out complaining to the relevant agency office. Now everything is digital," he concluded. (cah/ram)
