Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The 2nd Kostrad Infantry Division represented by the Mechanized Infantry Battalion Unit 413 Kostrad Malang re-existed in the Army arena by winning the 2017 TNI AD Company Level Yongmoodo Demonstration Cup, Tuesday (5/12). The 2017 Company Level Yongmoodo Self-Defense Demonstration Cup was participated by all TNI AD Kotama, namely 15 Kodams, 2 Kostrad Divisions and Kopassus.
The assessment of the competition held at the Headquarters of Yonif Mekanis 413 Kostrad, Sukoharjo at the end of November 2017 has succeeded in stunning the jury and the audience. This made the Divif 2 Kostrad contingent successfully achieve a total score of 90,686 and was crowned as the first rank in this prestigious event.
The implementation of the 2017 Indonesian Army Company Level Yongmoodo Demonstration Competition aims to improve self-defense skills and make Yongmoodo a professional individual skill for Indonesian Army soldiers to support the implementation of main tasks.
Relying on the elements of precision, speed and strength in close-range duels using bare hands is a characteristic of the Yongmoodo martial art which upholds sportsmanship and patriotism.
"All of this is the result of the hard work of all soldiers of Divif 2 Kostrad. I am proud of this year's achievements, where previously we brought home the TNI AD Tontangkas Cup and now we bring home the TNI AD Company Level Yongmoodo Self-Defense Demonstration Cup," said Pangdivif 2 Kostrad Maj. Gen. TNI Agus Suhardi.
"I am very grateful to all the soldiers of Divif 2 Kostrad who have prayed, helped, and supported so that Divif 2 Kostrad exists in the Army arena," he added.
Pangdivif 2 Kostrad greatly appreciates and gives the highest appreciation for the achievements made by his soldiers. "With this achievement, Divif 2 Kostrad has become a Unit that deserves to be respected among all the TNI AD Units. Therefore, let us maintain and make it a motivator in every implementation of duties," he said.
In addition, Pangdivif also advised all his soldiers that success like this can be used as a means of self-awareness to achieve wisdom and realize the virtues and nobility of life as a soldier. (say/yon)
