Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Chairperson of the PKK Team and Advisor to the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Malang City, Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani advised women and housewives to continue to improve their capacity to face the challenges of an era that is increasingly full of competition.
Umi Farida, as she is familiarly called, said that the role of women, both as wives and mothers, is very important in order to contribute to the success of development, both in the physical, spiritual and mental fields.
"Including the Dharma Wanita Persatuan organization, which is an organization of ASN wives, it plays a significant role in development," said Umi Farida while giving a speech at the 18th anniversary of Dharma Wanita Persatuan held at the Kartini Building in Malang City, Thursday (7/12).
Efforts to encourage women to be able to increase their capacity, said Umi Farida, must continue to be done. Because as a wife, her duty is not only to facilitate her husband's duties but also to prepare and provide education to children who are the next generation of the nation.
"Violence against women and children and drug abuse are our concerns. Therefore, the role of women in the household is very important in educating and improving the spiritual and mental health of children," he said.
The wife of the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, did not forget to advise housewives to continue to be alert in observing technological developments, so that they are not misused by children, especially those who are still young.
"I hope that the women in the Dharma Wanita Persatuan organization are able to form good characters, continue to monitor the use of technology, and that this organization becomes a modern and professional organization and is able to produce creative and innovative generations," she hoped.
The peak of the 18th anniversary of Dharma Wanita Persatuan in 2017 was very lively because it was attended by the Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of the members of the organization, as well as the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH who was present representing the Mayor of Malang H. Moch Anton. At this moment, the theme carried was "Developing the Quality of ASN Wives towards Family Resilience". (say/yon)
