Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) held a Socialization and Utilization of Regional Assets at the Savana Malang Hotel, Wednesday (20/12). The Assistant for General Administration of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, dr. Supranoto, M.Kes and the Head of the Malang City BPKAD, Ir. Sapto Prapto Santoso, M.Si attended the event.

In the speech of the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, which was read by the Assistant for General Administration of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Dr. Supranoto, M.Kes, it was conveyed that good regional financial governance has an impact on the implementation of good governance and clean government in urban development efforts.
"Because the development of a region cannot be separated from the aspect of regional financial management which is also managed with good management," said Supranoto reading the mayor's speech.
It was also explained that the running of the wheels of government is very dependent on how regional finances are managed, the stages of which start from planning, implementation, administration, reporting and finally accountability accompanied by supervision based on applicable laws and regulations.
Meanwhile, regional asset management, he continued, is more aimed at developing the capacity of regional government. Therefore, its utilization must be optimized so that it can be appropriate and able to boost regional original income (PAD).
"On the other hand, the management of regional assets also aims to realize orderly administration of regional assets to secure regional assets," he said.
The Mayor of Malang advised that the management of regional finances and assets must be managed in an orderly, efficient, effective, economical, transparent, responsible manner, and pay attention to the principles of justice, propriety and benefits.
"Malang City Government has an obligation to immediately implement both new government accounting standards and prepare regional asset reports with the aim of accountability and transparency," he concluded. (say/yon)
