Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In the framework of Mother's Day which is commemorated every December 22, the Malang City Government held a ceremony held in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Friday (22/12). This flag ceremony was also held in the framework of National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) and the 69th National Defense Day.
As a form of respect for mothers, in this ceremony the ceremony officers are from the mothers' family.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton in his speech said that the commemoration of Mother's Day is a form of appreciation for the great role of mothers. Where through a mother, character education is given early to children.
"The 89th Mother's Day commemoration in 2017 takes the theme 'Empowered Women, Glorious Indonesia. The role of mothers plays a big part in the success of development," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton, Friday (22/12).
Currently, the roles of women and men are equal, and they have the same opportunities and access in various fields.
Meanwhile, the 2017 HKSN Commemoration which took the theme 'Social Solidarity Glues Diversity' became a vehicle to reflect on national culture and wisdom, namely the values of Pancasila and the culture and wisdom of Indonesia's pluralistic society.
This is expected to lead to national solidarity and national integration because of the same fate, the same nationality, the same archipelago, the same culture. This becomes the social capital of the nation to jointly face various threats to the sovereignty of the state, the integrity of the territory and the safety of the entire nation. (cah/yon)
