Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, Drs. Abdul Hakim said, there are a number of things that the people's representatives will continue to do in carrying out their main duties and functions (tupoksi) as legislators.
The judge explained that the 2018 APBD (Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget) which had been agreed upon by the executive and legislative branches would begin to be implemented at the beginning of 2018.
Therefore, the function of monitoring executive performance through surprise inspections that will be emphasized in each commission will continue to be encouraged. The plan is that surprise inspections in each commission will be carried out twice a month, with the aim of intensively monitoring government performance.
"Supervision is carried out through spot checks on each commission, then hearing with OPD (Regional Apparatus Organization) and conduct evaluations," said Hakim, Tuesday (2/18).
The supervision is carried out so that the 2018 APBD that has been agreed upon can run and the results can be directly felt by the people of Malang City. "Between the targets and results in the APBD must be clear, and the Malang City DPRD will be serious in supervising this," he said.
In addition, in an effort to navigate 2018, Hakim will also continue to encourage the intensity of internal commission meetings with the aim of communicating the development of supervision. Not only that, communication will also be intensified with related OPDs, both with commissions or combined commissions and combined commissions and council leaders.
"We need to intensify this communication so that this year we must be truly serious in carrying out our duties in accordance with the duties and functions regulated by law," he emphasized.
Various unfinished homework of Malang City Government also became the concern of Malang City DPRD members. Problems of road congestion, public services, to various unresolved issues will become the serious concern of Malang City DPRD.
"We have recorded various problems that are the homework of the Malang City Government and we will continue to push for their resolution to the executive," he said.
