Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As a form of participation in promoting Indonesia with all the cultural and tourism diversity it has, Malang Flower Carnival (MFC) departed for Amsterdam in order to fulfill the request of the Ministry of Tourism to represent Indonesia at event international culture and tourism held in the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A total of seven MFC talents will present costumes with the theme of Bhineka Tunggal Ika with all decorative elements in the form of flowers as the main characteristic of MFC.
For MFC, the opportunity at the beginning of this year is an extraordinary award. "Because this is the 29th opportunity for MFC to represent Indonesia at international cultural and tourism events abroad," said Agus Sunandar from the MFC representative, Monday (8/1).
"This opportunity is also an acknowledgment that MFC is not only an icon of local or regional cultural events, but has become an icon of national cultural events. It is proven that MFC is now included in the 100 most spectacular cultural and tourism event calendars in Indonesia according to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism for 2017-2018," Agus added.
Meanwhile, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton said that MFC's achievement is a form of achievement that deserves to be appreciated. According to him, through MFC the name of Malang City is not only increasingly known at the national level but also at the international level.
The man who is familiarly called Abah Anton also gave his appreciation to the various works of creativity of young people in Malang City that will be displayed later in Amsterdam. "I am very proud of the creativity of young people in Malang City, this further shows that Malang City is indeed a Creative City," said Abah. (say/yon)
