Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – As a public service institution, hospitals must have a sufficient level of eligibility to serve public health. In Indonesia, the level of hospital eligibility is tested by the Hospital Accreditation Commission (KARS) and must be followed by every hospital.
After testing by KARS, each hospital will be given an accreditation level based on the quality of service to patients.
The University of Muhammadiyah Malang Hospital (RS UMM) has officially become a five-star accredited hospital or commonly called the plenary level. This level is the highest accreditation level from KARS.
Head of UMM Hospital Accreditation, dr. Nur Chumairoh, Friday (12/01) stated that reaching this point was not easy. In its stages, UMM Hospital had to pass 15 parts of the KARS test and passed with a very satisfactory score.
dr. Nur Chumairoh added that by achieving the full accreditation, UMM Hospital has proven to be very good in providing services to patients. "With this, UMM Hospital is very worthy and standardized by the government to serve patients and visitors," he explained.
In terms of facilities, he continued, UMM Hospital should also be proud. Because, although UMM Hospital is still included in the type C hospital, the health support equipment available is equal to a type B hospital.
"In the future, we will hold several more medical specializations. This is intended so that UMM Hospital can become a type B hospital," he said.
This means that UMM Hospital can be aligned with hospitals that have previously operated in Malang City such as RSI Aisyiyah, RSU Lavalette, RS Panti Nirmala and RSUD dr. Saiful Anwar, which are currently also accredited with a plenary predicate. (PR UMM/cah/ram)
