Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Salatiga City DPRD and the Principals of Private Middle Schools throughout Salatiga City conducted a working visit to the Malang City Government.
The Salatiga City DPRD delegation led by the Chairman of the Salatiga DPRD, M. Teddy Sulistio, SE was received at the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall by the Assistant for Economic Affairs of the Malang City Secretariat, Ir. Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi, MT accompanied by the Head of the Malang City Education Office Dra. Zubaidah, MM.
In her speech, Diah conveyed her welcome and welcomed the arrival of the Salatiga City DPRD group and thanked them for making the Malang City Government the destination for their working visit.
Regarding education, the Head of the Malang City Education Office, Dra. Zubaidah, MM said that there is no difference between public and private schools. "We consider public and private schools to be the same. It's just that in terms of budgeting, however, public schools are an obligation, while private schools are a secondary obligation," explained Zubaidah.
Zubaidah also explained that Malang City has used a zone system in terms of PPDB (New Student Admissions). "Starting in 2015, we have used the zone system, while the Ministry (of Education and Culture) only started in 2017," continued Zubaidah.
Meanwhile, the head of the Salatiga DPRD delegation, M. Teddy Sulistio, said that there was no reason for private schools to lag behind state schools.
"There is one extraordinary word, there is no reason for private schools to lag behind other schools," said Teddy Sulistio. (nf/yon)
