Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The National Zakat Collection Agency (Baznas) of Malang City together with all zakat collection institutions in Malang City held the Malang City Zakat Revival Parade in front of the Malang City Grand Mosque, Sunday (28/01).
"Many zakat collection institutions in Malang City are still not properly organized, so it seems like they are competitors with each other," said the Head of Baznas Malang City, Dr. Fauzan Zenrif, M.Ag.
This activity, he said, wants to show the public that all zakat institutions are the same, they can choose any. They work professionally with an accountable and professional management system.
He explained that the presence of zakat institutions is an alternative to solving several problems that exist in society.
Fauzan hopes that with the solidarity and unity between these zakat institutions, they can provide benefits to the community in a more optimal and more coordinated manner.
This Zakat Awakening Parade will be continued with several trainings for all zakat institutions aimed at aligning zakat management.
"Later there will be joint management training, then there will be transparent financial management training. This event will take place starting today, January 28 to February 25, 2018," he said.
Meanwhile, Klojen Sub-district Head Drs. Agus Subali, M.Si who was also present representing the Mayor of Malang said, the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of Malang City is for zakat, besides that it is also in the Social Welfare Section of the Malang City Government. So, for this zakat there are two sources from the Malang City Government. (ram/yon)
