2019 Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs Targets 4% SME Growth

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises continues to provide training and improve the quality of human resources (HR) for MSMEs.

UKM training participants enthusiastically participated in the series of training held by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.

This is done so that SMEs can become successful business actors and have high competitiveness in this global era. Until 2019, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs is targeting a SME growth rate of four percent.

This was conveyed by the Assistant Deputy for Community Participation Development of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Harianto, S.Sos, MM, Friday (2/2/2018) after the opening of the Capacity Building Training for SME HR at the Sahid Montana Hotel, Malang City.

He said that currently, MSME growth is in the range of 3,1 percent, and the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs will continue to make various efforts to realize this growth target.

The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs hopes that cooperatives and SMEs will continue to grow, move up a class and become the pillars of the nation's economy. The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs also appealed for cooperatives and SMEs to be managed as well as possible. Through this training, it is also hoped that new, tough and professional SMEs will grow.

Not only various product making training, in this training, SME players will be assisted in how to market products from the side of technology mastery to improving the quality of human resources.

"Thus, various problems often faced by SMEs can be resolved properly. It must be admitted, the contribution of SMEs is very large. And in 2019, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs is targeting growth of up to four percent. In the last three years, the growth of the SME sector has been very significant, where it has now reached 3,1 percent," added Harianto.

Through this training and provision, he continued, it is hoped that cooperatives and SMEs will be more resilient, become economic pillars and can compete in the free market era. "To realize all that, the synergy of various parties including the local government (Pemda) plays a big role and is very decisive," Harianto emphasized. (say/yon)
