Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Another thematic village is present in Malang City. After some time ago the Arema Blue Village which is located near the Colorful Village and Tridi Village was inaugurated, this time the Mayor of Malang inaugurated the Kramat Village located on Jl. Bali, Kasin Village, Klojen District, Tuesday (13/2).
This new tourist destination in Malang City is located in the Kasin Public Cemetery (TPU) area. This unique thing is what makes the thematic village inhabited by 70 families named Kampung Kramat.
Visitors who come can also see the neatly arranged cemetery area and the houses of the residents of Kampung Kramat which look neat with mural paintings.
In addition, visitors can also see various activities of residents who work as gravediggers, tombstone carvers, people who wash the bodies, cemetery caretakers, and others.
Along with the inauguration of Kampung Kramat, the Mayor of Malang also inaugurated the Museum of Life which is also located in the Kasin TPU area and the RW 03 Hall of Kasin Village.
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, said that the inauguration of this tourist destination is a hope in itself to be able to improve the welfare of the residents of Kampung Kramat.
"In accordance with the tagline "Kampung Kramat, which means Death that Gives Life, we hope that the existence of this village can bring more blessings," hoped the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton, Tuesday (13/2).
The presence of Kampung Kramat certainly also boosts the economy of the residents of Kampung Kramat. Various products resulting from the creativity of the residents can be marketed, ranging from prayer beads, various crafts from used tires, to coffee labeled skull coffee.
Before being inaugurated, the Kampung Kramat concept had won third place in the Thematic Village competition held by the Malang City Government.
The existence of Kampung Kramat is the result of cooperation between the Malang City Government, Utero Indonesia, the paint company PT Propan Raya, and initiated by the Malang Creative Fusion (MCF) community. (cah/yon)
