Those are some of the things emphasized by Inspectorate of Kodam (Irdam) V/Brawijaya Colonel Arh Purwo Sudariyanto during the opening of the Open Volleyball Tournament Pangdam V/Brawijaya Cup 2018 at GOR Ken Arok Malang City, Monday (19/2). According to him, through this event, it is hoped that Indonesia's volleyball achievements in the future will be even better.
With this event, Colonel Purwo continued, it will also be a means of communication and friendship between fellow athletes, the TNI with athletes, and the community in general. "Thus, in addition to producing professional athletes especially within the TNI, it is also expected to establish a strong friendship with all levels of society," he continued.
Irdam V/Brawijaya revealed that this tournament was participated by 32 clubs throughout East Java with a total prize of tens of millions of rupiah. This tournament is also a preparation event for the KASAD cup competition which will also be held in 2018.
"From this event, the men's and women's volleyball teams in the ranks of Kodam V/Brawijaya will be measured and will continue to be improved so that they can be the best in the competition," he said.
"Through this tournament, it is hoped that strong communication and bonds will be built between athletes, the TNI and the community, so that in the future they will complement and strengthen each other in various aspects of national life," he concluded. (say/yon)
