BP2D Malang City Distributes 300 Thousand PBB SPPTs

Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Tax Payable Notification Letter (SPPT) for Urban Land & Building Tax (PBB) has begun to be distributed throughout the Malang City area since...launching by the Mayor of Malang in event 2018 Tax Role Model Celebration at Malang City Hall on January 9, 2018.

After in-launching The Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) immediately distributed around 300 thousand sheets of SPPT PBB Urban Tax Forms for the 2018 tax period to 57 sub-districts spread across five districts in Malang City, namely Blimbing, Lowokwaru, Klojen, Sukun and Kedungkandang Districts.

Head of BP2D Malang City Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT appealed to the public to immediately pay their taxes. "Because if it has passed the due date, then the Taxpayer (WP) will be subject to an administrative fine of two percent per month up to a maximum fine of 48 percent," he said, Wednesday (7/3).

Regarding the distribution of SPPT in each region, for WP with a nominal PBB determination below Rp500 thousand, it is coordinated by the local sub-district office or RT/RW. While SPPT with a nominal determination above Rp500 thousand will be delivered directly by BP2D officers to the relevant WP.

For people who want to make payments but have not received the 2018 PBB SPPT, they can bring proof of PBB payment or the previous year's SPPT as a payment requirement. It is also sufficient to show the Tax Object Number (NOP) because there is no increase in PBB.

"Specifically for PBB payments, WP can make payments at the nearest Bank Jatim counters to then be served by officers," continued Sam Ade d'Kross, as he is familiarly called.

The former Head of Public Relations for the Malang City Regional Secretariat did not forget to remind taxpayers who report their own taxes or self assessment, to be orderly in reporting turnover every month for regional tax payments.

According to the provisions, every month from the 1st to the 10th, taxpayers must report the previous month's turnover or submit a Regional Tax Notification Letter (SPTPD) for tax assessment.

Moreover, currently, to make regional tax payments, taxpayers wherever they are can make tax payments directly with an online system from any bank in the world, anytime and anywhere to a perception bank account, namely Bank Jatim.

"When making a transfer, taxpayers must not forget to include the name or identity of the business, address, Regional Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWPD) and the type and period of tax to the correct account," he explained again.

Eight types of regional taxes that can be paid directly through a Bank Jatim account include Hotel Tax, Restaurant Tax, Entertainment Tax, Advertising Tax, Parking Tax, Groundwater Tax, Street Lighting Tax (Non PLN) and BPHTB Tax.

“In the near future, the system will also be operated e-Billing for validation and payment of BPHTB Online. The goal is to reduce direct contact between taxpayers and tax officers, especially with BP2D officials. This will later make regional tax services much more transparent, honest and fast without any additional costs," said the man who is also an Aremania figure.

According to him, this convenience is to accommodate taxpayers who are trapped by time constraints, distance and other busy activities so that they can still report and fulfill their regional tax obligations on time.

For further information, the public can come to the nearest BP2D Malang City Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) spread across the five sub-district offices. You can also contact the BP2D hotline at (0341) 751943 during working hours.

Ade also appealed to the public to make payments via banking, because it is in line with the non-cash movement that BP2D has been promoting for several years. In terms of public services, the implementation of an online tax system or e-Tax has been done since 2013.

Various other innovative programs also accompany it, such as the implementation of tax banking, pay local taxes simply by bank transfer, to increase payment points in various locations that are easily accessible to the public.

"Not only the public service system or external ones, but we also promote the movement e-money in the internal sphere," said Ade.

This is realized by implementing a non-cash budgeting policy in the BP2D environment, starting from the employee payroll system to the provision of incentives carried out by transfer and remains procedural. (say/yon)
