Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Mohammad Nasir explained various things related to the launch of Cyber ​​University while giving a guest lecture at the Malang State Polytechnic.

Through online learning, the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education said while giving a guest lecture at the Malang State Polytechnic, Tuesday (13/03), that one lecturer can teach up to 1.000 students or even more, but without ignoring the quality and standard of education.

This program is also to overcome the limitations of resources and infrastructure. Because in the midst of the progress of science and information technology like today, various activities are required to be more creative, innovative and remain of high quality.

"This includes the learning system in higher education must be smarter so that effective and efficient learning can be realized," he added.

According to Minister Nasir, the current global changes have entered the industrial revolution 4.0 so that universities must anticipate this.

"Currently, there are limitations in human resources and infrastructure, so a lecture system based on information technology is considered very appropriate. The regulation has been prepared by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, and in April this program can be implemented. In the future, all universities will implement this program," he continued.

For the learning curriculum, Nasir explained, it will be handed over to each campus and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education will still regulate how the system and quality of good learning. "Currently for face-to-face lectures, one lecturer can teach 20 to 30 students, but for the online system, one lecturer can teach 1.000 students and can be more," he explained.

Nasir further said that with this program, there will be... cyber university, whose job is toreview all courses that were online before thepublish and whether it has met the quality standards. "For universities that have implemented it, they must report to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education for review," he continued. (say/yon)
