Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Seeing the large number of residents interested in developing fish processing businesses, the Klojen Sub-district PKK TP together with the Indonesian Catholic Women (WKRI) Malang held a Milkfish Bone Removal Training in the Klojen Sub-district Office hall, Tuesday (20/3).

"The participants came from seven RW in Klojen Village, each represented by three people. Plus 16 members of the Klojen Village PKK," said the Head of the Klojen Village PKK TP, Dewi Mustika Sari.
From the training presented by speaker Demetrius Bambang Kusmintarjo, Dewi hopes that after attending the training, participants can share knowledge in their surrounding environment.
"If the participants cannot sell it themselves, if the results of their fish bone removal work are good, the presenters are ready to accommodate the participants' production results," added Dewi.
There is a special technique to be able to clean milkfish bones properly and quickly. From this training, participants also learned the number of ice fish bones, as many as 162 bones in one milkfish. All of the bones must be removed so that the processing process is easier and more delicious when consumed.
Meanwhile, the training instructor, Demetrius Bambang, admitted that he was ready to accommodate and help market the results of the participants if their production was good. He did this because so far he was overwhelmed by the many orders for milkfish and catfish.
"We hope that with this activity, more people can make processed fish. The huge market demand in Malang City is a potential that can be utilized," said Bambang.
Various kinds of food can be made from boneless milkfish creations, starting from regular frying, made into milkfish otak-otak, and also smoked milkfish. "If the community wants to be creative, the market opportunities in Malang City are still very open," he concluded. (cah/yon)
