Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (BAPPEBTI) in collaboration with the Malang City Trade Service held a coordination meeting with law enforcement officers in the field of commodity futures trading at the Atria Hotel, Malang City, Wednesday (28/3).

Head of the Bureau of Legislation and Enforcement of BAPPEBTI M. Syist in his speech representing the Head of BAPPEBTI revealed that investment activities should be in accordance with the rules and transparent. However, in reality, the public is often disadvantaged because of the lack of transparency of the investment organizers in providing information.
"In addition to being able to make a quick profit, investments can also lose in an instant. The losses are often not disclosed by the company," said Syist, Wednesday (28/3).
Syist hopes that with the coordination meeting involving various parties like this, in the future various losses due to public ignorance can be minimized, and that citizens will be wiser in absorbing all the information obtained.
This coordination meeting was also greatly appreciated by the Head of the Malang City Trade Office, Drs. Wahyu Setianto, MM. According to him, with the coordination meeting like this, it can be a place for consultation and sharing information.
"Illegal investment practices under the guise of commodity futures trading (PBK) are common in Indonesia. Hopefully in the future such things will not happen again," Wahyu hoped.
Coordination meetings involving law enforcers like this are expected to provide more insight, including being able to take the best possible action when various problems are faced. (cah/yon)
