Working Committee of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives Conducts Working Visit to Malang City

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Working Committee (Panja) of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in charge of supervising the implementation of the Simultaneous Regional Election security visited Malang City, Tuesday (10/04). This working visit was conducted to ensure the readiness and security of the Regional Election so that later the democratic party can run according to the rules.

The working visit which was welcomed in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall began with a presentation by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahid Wahyudi, MT who conveyed about the level of participation in the 2013 Election, the number of mayoral candidates, and the funding of the Regional Election.

The Acting Mayor of Malang hopes that Malang City will always be conducive so that the implementation of the Pilkada can be carried out properly. This must of course be supported by all parties so that what is desired together can be realized.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City KPU, Zainuddin, said that his party would carry out all stages of the election in accordance with applicable regulations. "We as election organizers will always obey the rules, so that the democratic process can also run well," he said.

The presentation was also delivered by Bawaslu Malang City regarding various data and Pilkada agendas, as well as from Polres Malang City regarding preparations for Pilkada security. From the various presentations, the Working Committee of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives can find out how far Malang City has prepared to face the upcoming Simultaneous Pilkada.

The Chairman of the Working Committee of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Zainuddin Amali, said that so far Malang City has made optimal preparations and the regional elections can still be held even though there are notes. "From the presentation by the KPU, Bawaslu and the police earlier, the regional elections in Malang City can generally be held and the preparations are quite optimal," he said. (say/yon)
