PT KAI will also improve its various services so that passengers feel safe and comfortable, including providing free iftar and sahur menus during the trip. PT KAI President Director Edi Sukmoro said that the situation could be said to be the peak of the increase in passengers, especially before or after Lebaran, when the number of seats or tickets is sold out.

"Right now, it can be said to be the peak, because the Eid tickets for D-1 to D-3 have been sold out, but for D-5 and beyond, they are still available," said Edi on the sidelines of his visit to Kotabaru Station, Malang, Wednesday (11/04) evening.

On the other hand, Edi explained, PT KAI will also continue to improve its various services so that public interest in using train transportation continues to increase and for safety and comfort. "If last year, during the fasting month PT KAI only provided a takjil menu, then for this year there will be a free iftar and sahur menu during the trip," he explained.

Furthermore, Edi said that the service will be implemented on D-10 of Lebaran. PT KAI also ensured that there will be no increase in ticket prices. From the results of the inspection by the Director of PT KAI this time, various anticipations of passenger safety and comfort were carried out, so that Lebaran operations can run safely and conducively.

"With these various anticipatory efforts, it is hoped that the flow of homecoming and return flow of Lebaran will run safely, and all train service users will be accommodated optimally. On the other hand, the number of prospective train passengers will increase significantly over time," concluded Edi. (say/yon)
