ABOUT
APPEAL TO REDUCE PLASTIC USE
In order to implement the national policy on waste management in the form of reducing plastic waste and following up on the circular letter of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry dated February 26, 2018 Number: SE.3/UM/RT/SET.1/2/2018 concerning the Appeal for the Provision of Meeting Food Free of Plastic Packaging, it is respectfully appealed to:
- All Heads of Regional Apparatus;
- TNI and POLRI;
- State Institutions, Vertical Agencies, BUMN and BUMD;
- Private Companies and Community Organizations;
- Schools, Madrasahs and Islamic Boarding Schools;
- Hospitals and Health Centers;
- And Environmentally Caring Communities
To carry out activities to reduce the use of plastic waste, including:
- For every meeting/coordination/socialization/training and similar activities in buildings or hotels, please provide meeting dishes (snacks, food and drinks) that do not use plastic wrappers/packaging and lids. It is recommended to use organic materials or materials that are easily biodegradable, for example leaves or paper;
- Every canteen in offices and schools should not sell food in plastic packaging, it is recommended to use organic materials or materials that are easily decomposed, for example leaves or paper.
