Malang City Attracts India's Interest to Invest

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Having similarities in various fields and civilizations, the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia, Pradeep Kumar Rawat, is interested in investing in Indonesia, especially in Malang City. Cooperation and investment are such as in the fields of arts and culture, culinary, trade, hospitality, and education.

The Malang City Government also welcomed the desire of the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia to invest in Malang City. Various potential areas that are worthy of export will be prepared as soon as possible, so that the relationship between the two governments can be realized soon.

Regional Secretary of Malang City, Drs. Wasto, SH, MH when receiving a working visit from the Indian Embassy to Indonesia in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Saturday night (21/04) said that the Malang City Government will coordinate with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Malang Branch and other parties to respond to the export plan to India.

"This working visit is based on the Indian government's curiosity about various culinary, arts and culture, civilization, education and investment in Malang City," added Wasto.

Related to this, he continued, the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia will hold a culinary exhibition, film festival, seminar and arts and culture, education and various UMKM products together in the near future. "From some of these programs, it has now started with a photo exhibition in the lobby of Malang City Hall and arts and culture performances," explained Wasto.

"In Malang City, among the many potentials that exist, education and arts and culture are very interesting for the Indian Government to immediately cooperate and invest. Because, the impact of these two fields will be felt by many parties for the progress and existence of a nation.

The Indian Ambassador to Indonesia, Pradeep Kumar Rawat, also expressed similar sentiments. He said that his party was very pleased to be able to work with the Malang City Government. "Cooperation in the fields of trade and investment that had decreased will later be increased again," he said.

"Through various exhibitions and performances held jointly, in addition to being followed up with investment, it is also a means of introducing arts and culture and improving the quality of human resources for both governments," he added.

Pradeep further said, with greater cooperation and investment, later in both governments it is hoped that it can help spur growth in various sectors so that welfare and prosperity can be felt together. (say/yon)
