Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – 120 participants competed fiercely in the annual Malang Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament held at the Araya Golf Course in Malang City, Saturday (21/4).
Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH read the speech of the Acting Mayor of Malang, saying that this golf championship could be a means of fostering friendship and building togetherness among golf lovers in Indonesia.
"In addition to celebrating the 104th anniversary of Malang City, this championship is also to improve golf sports development in Malang City," explained Wasto, Saturday (21/4).
"We fully support this activity, because it can introduce golf sports in Malang City, and also promote the potential of Malang City," he added.
The meeting of entrepreneurs, community leaders, and economic actors at this championship event is also expected to establish cooperation networks so that they can boost the economic sector in Malang City.
Secretary of the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) of Malang City, Totok Sukadariswanto welcomed the holding of the Malang Mayor's Cup golf championship. Golf athletes from Malang City and also from outside the region who participated can hone their skills in this event.
"Not only senior athletes who appear, in this championship we also send junior golf athletes to hone their skills in facing competitive golf matches," explained Totok. (cah/yon)
