Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – As an effort to increase voter participation and create a safe and peaceful democratic party, the Malang City General Election Commission (KPU) is socializing the various stages of the election.
The KPU invites all elements of society to make every regional head election a success and to exercise their voting rights properly. On the other hand, the public is urged not to be easily provoked by news or information that is not necessarily true so that horizontal conflict does not occur.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Chairman of the Malang City KPU, Zaenudin, after the Pilkada socialization event in the extended family environment of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM) of Malang City at the Balava Hotel, Malang City, Sunday (22/4).
As the organizer of the Election, the KPU certainly has a big responsibility for the success of the democratic party. On that basis, the Malang City KPU held socialization to various parties, such as to community and youth organizations.
Later, Zaenudin continued, the KPU will also hold similar socialization, such as socialization for Nahdlatul Ulama, as well as to interfaith figures so that the level of voter participation is high. Zaenudin also explained the current political conditions and several regional head candidates so that prospective voters know more.
The KPU also invited these religious figures to help create a conducive atmosphere before and after the implementation of the Pilkada. "What also needs to be watched out for is that the public should not be easily influenced by negative issues or hoax news because it can cause friction between groups," explained Zaenudin.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of PDM Malang City, Abdul Haris along with other Muhammadiyah residents are ready to help make the Election a success. "Muhammadiyah residents of Malang City must not abstain from voting. Use your right to vote properly and be smarter in choosing a candidate for leader," he appealed.
"With this socialization and persuasive approach, it is expected to provide political education for the community and the regional election process can run well, so that trustworthy leaders are born," concluded Abdul Haris. (say/yon)
