Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1439 Hijriah, the Malang City Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) monitored the prices of basic necessities at Oro-oro Dowo Market. As a result, several prices of basic necessities increased but not significantly.
In order to control prices and as an anticipatory measure against higher price increases, the Malang City TPID will soon hold market operations at several strategic points.
In Malang City, the prices of various basic necessities ahead of Ramadan are relatively stable, and the supply of various necessities is still relatively safe.
Those are some of the things conveyed by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahid Wahyudi, MT after monitoring prices with the Malang City TPID, Wednesday (2/5). So far, according to him, the transaction intensity is still at a normal stage, and traders and the public as buyers are not experiencing any unrest.
As stated by some traders in the market, the price of good quality beef is set at around Rp110 thousand to Rp115 thousand per kilogram. The price of eggs per kilogram is around Rp22 thousand to Rp23 thousand, chicken meat is in the range of Rp30 thousand to Rp33 thousand per kilogram.
"The supply of meat, eggs, rice and oil is still normal, so traders and buyers are not having any difficulties," added Wahid.
However, TPID together with related institutions remain vigilant and take precautions, such as by conducting market operations that are ready to be held at any time. "Thus, various prices of necessities are well controlled and there is no unrest in the community," he continued.
"With this inspection, it is hoped that in the moments leading up to Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, traders and buyers will not be anxious. On the other hand, the TPID team has also prepared anticipatory steps if there is a high price spike, namely market operations so that prices remain well controlled," he concluded. (say/yon)
