Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The transition from the rainy season to the dry season was not wasted by the Malang City Government. One of them is the process of accelerating the implementation of physical work on roads and drainage and moving together with the community in community service activities.
Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH directly participated and led the community service in the Jl Raya Langsep area together with the drainage team from DPUPR, DLH yellow troops, Malang City BPPD Quick Reaction Team troops, youth organizations, LPMK, RW/RT, and local residents, Sunday (6/5).
Wasto said that collaboration and synergy between the Malang City Government and residents are the keys to smooth development. No matter how good the planning (technocratic) is without the support of citizen participation and response, it is difficult to achieve development goals as expected.
"Especially for physical projects that are directly related to the environment. Because the success and preservation of the environment is also inseparable from how we are able to act wisely towards the environment. Not littering, eliminating building patterns that violate the rules, and so on. Activities like this (voluntary work) must continue to be cultivated," Wasto invited, Sunday (6/5).
On this occasion, Wasto showed direct evidence of how to invite people to love the environment. This sports-loving man did not hesitate to go directly to the river and clean the drainage channels.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City PUPR Ir. Hadi Santoso accompanied by the Head of the SDA and Drainage Division of the Malang City PUPR Bambang Nugroho informed the steps for socializing the preparation for the implementation of physical project work that will be carried out in turns in five sub-districts and followed continuously with mass community service.
"Yes (community service), as a form of message that development (project smoothness) is not only the responsibility and property of the City Government (Malang) or the technical service (DPUPR_ed), but also belongs to the residents. Because in the end, the residents are also as users and also those who feel the benefits," said Soni, as the Head of the Malang City PUPR is usually called. (cah/yon)
