Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government announces to all residents of Malang City, both Muslims and adherents of other religions and also entertainment entrepreneurs to welcome and respect each other in the Holy Month of Ramadan 1439 H/2018 M.
The announcement of the Mayor of Malang Number 1 of 2018 concerning Welcoming and Respecting the Holy Month of Ramadan in 1439 H/2018 M was socialized on Tuesday (8/5) at the Atria Hotel Malang.
This socialization was attended by participants from PHRI elements (Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association), entertainment entrepreneurs, restaurant/eating house entrepreneurs, hotels, sub-district heads and village heads throughout Malang City as well as the Blimbing Police Chief, Kompol Slamet Riyadi, SH who was present as a resource person.
Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH was present and opened the event held by the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City. According to him, activities like this are always held before the month of Ramadan, with the aim of maintaining harmony between religious communities in Malang City.
"Malang City is a city known for its high level of conduciveness. This is inseparable from the role of FKUB (Interfaith Harmony Forum) in maintaining harmony between religious communities in Malang City," said Wasto.
"In addition, the Malang City Government also hopes that all entertainment and restaurant entrepreneurs will comply with the announcement of the Mayor of Malang which has been socialized tonight, because during the Holy Month of Ramadan we will also send a team that will monitor directly in the field," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bakesbangpol Malang City Drs. Indri Ardoyo, M.Si said that this activity was not only in order to socialize the announcement about welcoming and respecting the Holy Month of Ramadan 1439 H, but also in order to provide a sense of comfort to all people of Malang City, especially for Muslims who are fasting in the month of Ramadan.
"In addition, through this activity we also plan and prepare activities to control recreational and public entertainment businesses during the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," explained Indri Ardoyo. (say/yon)
