"In this case, poverty means the failure to fulfill basic human needs such as food, clothing, housing, and social interaction, as well as those who have limited ability to access various sources of basic social services," he explained.
Other problems include socio-economic vulnerability, neglect, disability, behavioral deviation, remoteness, and social vulnerability of community members who have the potential to become Social Welfare Problem Sufferers (PMKS).

The Malang City Government also continues to strive to overcome these social problems by implementing various programs related to PMKS, which are directed at rescue, recovery and independence efforts in achieving a decent, normative and humane standard of living for social welfare," he explained further.
According to Wahid, the community meeting and distribution of basic food assistance to 35 heads of families of social welfare residents is one of the efforts to help PMKS so that they can slightly ease their burden in life ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
In addition to distributing basic food aid, this activity also aims to establish ties between the Malang City Government and local residents.
"Through community meetings and dialogues like this, I really hope there will be constructive input or suggestions, so that in the future various existing problems can be solved better, and various development programs can provide more benefits for the welfare of the community," he hoped. (say)
