Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Nurul Muttaqin Mosque located on Jl Satsui Tubun, Kebonsari Subdistrict, became the third location for the Malang City Government's Ramadan Safari, Monday (21/5) evening.

Present at this Ramadan Safari were the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH, Forkopimda of Malang City, Assistants and Expert Staff of the Regional Secretariat of Malang City, and Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Malang City Government.
In his speech, the Regional Secretary of Malang City expressed his desire to create religious harmony in Malang City, and invited all elements to work together to create a conducive Malang City.
The tragedy in Surabaya, he added, hopefully will make the community more alert and pay more attention to the environment in order to anticipate such incidents from happening again.
"Currently, the public's understanding of religion is indicated to be heading towards the wrong path, and the attitude of tolerance towards adherents of other religions is also worrying, there are even those who want to call those who are not their group infidels. But I am sure that the congregation at the Nurul Muttaqin Mosque will not happen," said Wasto.
Wasto also touched a little on the problems in Malang City, including problems regarding traffic jams, flooding and garbage. He said that the most difficult problem to overcome is the garbage problem. This is because the community is not obedient in disposing of garbage and always throwing garbage into the river which ultimately results in flooding.
"If there is congestion, we can balance it with traffic engineering. If there is flooding, no matter how flooding it is, there will definitely be a receding, but if there is garbage, it is very difficult to overcome it. Therefore, let us care about cleanliness," Wasto invited.
Meanwhile, KH Chamzawi, who was also present on this occasion, also emphasized how important cleanliness is as part of faith.
This senior cleric also conveyed several practices that can be carried out by Muslims to achieve peace and prosperity in their lives.
KH Chamzawi added that people who read the Quran as much as they can even though they do not understand and comprehend its meaning is a very good deed, but it would be good if they read and understand its meaning. "The second is a person who is good in his speech, for example when talking to others do not hurt their feelings. And the third is a person who likes to feed hungry people," he added.
The Malang City Government's Ramadan Safari agenda, said the Head of the Nurul Muttaqin Mosque Management Committee, H. Achmad Zainuri, was welcomed by the community in the Kebonsari area because it was a positive thing so that they could continue to maintain ties of friendship.
At the end of the Safari Ramadan activities, the mosque administrators, the congregation, residents of Kebonsari Village, and the Safari Ramadan group of Malang City Government declared anti-radicalism, anti-terrorism, and support for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) at all costs.
