Businesses Closed During Ramadan, Taxpayers Urged to Immediately Report to BP2D

Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Based on the Announcement of the Mayor of Malang Number 1 of 2018 concerning Welcoming and Respecting the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1439 H/2018 M, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahid Wahyudi, MT appealed to entrepreneurs or business managers to adjust their respective business opening schedules. Among them are playstation rental businesses, internet cafes, and cinemas that are subject to special rules regarding operating hours.

There are a number of other types of businesses that must close for a whole month during the Holy Month of Ramadan, including spas, shiatsu, discos, pubs, bars, karaoke, cafes and nightclubs that are part of hotel facilities.

Following up on the announcement, the Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) also issued an appeal to entrepreneurs or business managers to immediately report.

"Because if they do not report that their business is closed for a full month, it will still be counted as the current tax period," said the Head of BP2D Malang City, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT, Tuesday (22/5).

Taxpayers (WP) can report by letter or come directly to the BP2D Office at the Integrated Office Building B of the Malang City Government, on Jl Mayjend Sungkono, Kedungkandang. To then make a submission in the form of a temporary closure notification which will be immediately processed by BP2D officers.

"Specifically for the submission of this closing notification, it must be done by letter or come directly to the BP2D office. However, for routine reporting, WP can already access it via the SAMPADE application (Regional Tax Mobile Application Information System) which we just launched last Monday (21/5)," explained Sam Ade d'Kross, his nickname.

This provision also applies to business managers who will permanently close their businesses. So that way, their businesses are no longer recorded as taxpayers who must report turnover and payments every month. (say/yon)
