Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The gathering between the ulama and umara (government leaders_ed) was held at the Baiturrohim Mosque, Malang City Hall, Wednesday (30/5).
In his speech, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahid Wahyudi, MT revealed that Malang City is an extraordinary city with various advantages and potentials. Malang City, although a small city, is a miniature of Indonesia because of the diversity of ethnic groups in this City of Education.
"The conducive city of Malang as it is today cannot be separated from the role and good cooperation between the ulama and umara. Therefore, we are very happy to hold this activity," said Wahid, Wednesday (30/5).
Although Malang City has been considered very conducive, according to Wahid we must not be careless and must remain vigilant. This is based on the experience of Surabaya City which some time ago saw bomb explosions in several places.
"Radicalism and terrorism can happen anywhere and anytime, therefore Malang City must take anticipatory measures," he said.
Wahid also reminded that the perpetrators of terrorism who were successfully arrested from year to year have increased. In 2015 there were 63 suspects arrested, in 2016 there were 162 suspects, and in 2017 it has increased to 172 people arrested.
Therefore, it is very important to involve the role of the ulama together with the umara, TNI-Polri and all parties together to work together to carry out prevention and handling.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Malang City Baidlowi Muslich in this opportunity to meet and greet explained the contents of the letter in the Quran which from beginning to end contains many about the disturbances of Satan. He also invited humanity to always ask for protection from Allah SWT from the temptations of Satan so as not to fall into error. (cah/yon)
