On this occasion, the Malang City Saber Pungli Team clearly revealed various things related to illegal levies, one example of which is increasing parking rates from what should be stated on official tickets.

AKP Triyono Susanto, who is a member of the Malang City Saber Pungli Team, said that employees must work in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and must not work in violation of established rules.

"If the rule is free, then of course it must be implemented for free, it must not be allowed to ask for or receive gifts from the community. No matter how small the value, it can be categorized as extortion," he said, Wednesday (30/5).

It is not a matter of the amount of money, but what is problematic before the law is the act of asking for or receiving any form of gift from the community. That is what Triyono emphasized is not allowed.

Meanwhile Head of Civil and State Administration Section (Datun) of Malang District Attorney's Office P. Krisna Hadi said that ASN must have a good mentality, must have good habits, and avoid bad habits such as extortion.

"Initially receiving cigarette money, then service fees, and so on. All of them must be eliminated. Everyone knows themselves, no matter how much it is, if it is requested and not according to procedure, then it is called extortion," Krisna stressed.

The presence of the Malang City Saber Pungli Team was also welcomed by the Acting Head of the Malang City Disperkim Ir. Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi, MT. She said that with this socialization, it will further increase the insight of all employees in the Malang City Disperkim environment regarding extortion.

In addition to ASN, Diah said that currently in Disperkim there are more than 200 honorary workers (non ASN). If they are involved or indicated to have committed extortion, then legal snares and strict sanctions will be imposed in accordance with applicable regulations. (cah/yon)
