Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya Major General TNI Arif Rachman, MA emphasized that TNI soldiers must always maintain and uphold neutrality during the democratic party. On the other hand, TNI must also participate in the success of the implementation of the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in synergy with the Police and other related parties.
No less than 11 thousand members from the ranks of Kodam V/Brawijaya will be deployed during the Simultaneous Regional Elections on June 27, 2018 and will collaborate with the Police in carrying out their duties.
This was conveyed by the Commander of V/Brawijaya Military Command when holding a Ramadan Safari in Company C of the 512th Mechanized Battalion Malang, Sunday (3/6) night. Each region, said the Commander of V Military Command, will be given a maximum before and during the implementation of the Simultaneous Regional Elections.
"The TNI ranks at the Koramil and Kodim levels will be the spearhead of every security measure, because these ranks are the ones who know more and are in direct contact with the community," explained Major General Arif.
Eleven thousand TNI members under Kodam V, he explained, will also be tasked with securing the homecoming and return routes for Eid al-Fitr, who will be placed at strategic points.
Through this Ramadan Safari activity, the Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Command hopes that the synergy between the TNI-Polri and various parties will be stronger so that it can help maintain regional conduciveness.
"With the readiness of the TNI soldiers, it is hoped that the implementation of the Simultaneous Regional Elections and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr will run smoothly. Various anticipations have been prepared to realize both of these things in the field," continued Pangdam V/Brawijaya.
Regarding several things, the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH who was also present at the Safari Ramadan Pangdam V/Brawijaya admitted that he was ready to fully support. "The Malang City Government is ready to support the implementation of the Simultaneous Pilkada and the security of the homecoming and return flow of Eid. We will synergize with local TNI and Polri personnel to realize several things," he said. (say/yon)
