Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Sharing the joy and happiness in the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Malang Raya held a Ramadan Safari by distributing aid at five orphanages in Malang City, Tuesday (5/6/2018). In collaboration with PT Pertamina MOR V Jatim Balinus and the Malang City Government, the handover of aid was carried out at the Darul Jundi Orphanage (PA), Jl. Pemandian Tentara H-159 Malang City.
In addition to PA Darul Jundi, assistance was also given to four other orphanages in the Malang City area. The four orphanages are PA Mawaddah Warahmah Jl. Memberamo VI/ 1A, PA Nurul Muttaqien Al-Barokah Jl. Raya Tlogowaru, PA Sunan Kalijogo Jl. KH Yusuf 57, and PA Al-Ikhlas Jl. Janti Selatan No. 50.
The Head of PWI Malang Raya, M. Ariful Huda, said that this social event was part of the PWI Malang Raya activities in collaboration with PT Pertamina MOR V Jatim Balinus which was in line with the Safari Ramadan agenda that had been organized by the Malang City Government.
"We hope that activities like this can be held sustainably in the future. For that, PWI Malang Raya would like to thank PT Pertamina MOR V Jatim Balinus and the Malang City Government for supporting this event," said Arif, Tuesday (5/6).
"Hopefully this event will be useful and can add to the happiness of the children who are currently in the orphanage so that they feel less alone and more enthusiastic about achieving a better future," said Arif.
Meanwhile, Area Manager Communication & CSR Pertamina MOR V East Java Balinus, Rifky Rahman Yusuf said that the assistance given was a form of the company's empathy to continue to ignite goodness for the community, especially orphans and the poor.
"Honoring orphans is a great virtue in the sight of Allah SWT, and also a form of gratitude for what the company has achieved so far. Alhamdulillah, in this month of Ramadan, Pertamina MOR V together with PWI Malang can synergize through positive activities not only for ourselves, but by sharing with orphans and the poor in Malang City," explained Rifky Rakhman Yusuf.
Appreciation was also conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH. According to him, handling social activities and problems is actually the full responsibility of the government. "With a sense of concern from these media crews, it will automatically help ease the burden on the government," he said.
"We hope that activities like this can be done continuously and can inspire other parties to be able to share happiness with others," said Wasto. (cah/say/yon)
