Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The importance of e-Money education by Bank Indonesia was conveyed by the Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji during the celebration of Bank Indonesia's 65th Anniversary held at Car Free Day, Jl Simpang Balapan Malang, Sunday (1/7).

The celebration of Bank Indonesia's 65th anniversary this time began with group exercise and was then continued with the handover of Bank Indonesia's social program assistance.
In his speech, Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji expressed his appreciation to Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office in Malang for their cooperation in developing Malang City, especially in monitoring inflation as well as food security and stability of basic food prices.
In this activity, Sutiaji also hopes that Bank Indonesia will be able to continue to socialize the implementation of the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) or what is more familiarly known as the term e-money to the people of Malang City.
"Most of the people of Malang City have already used e-money, even in the Malang City Government, salary payments and other allowances have been implemented through banking and directly into each ASN's account. However, education and literacy to the community must also continue to be carried out," explained Sutiaji.
"Our financial reports are also accrual-based, so we no longer carry out financial transactions that use money," he explained further.
Sutiaji also advised BI Malang and OJK to continue to carry out inclusion and education to the community regarding various banking services. "The inclusion of people who use banking services is already high, but their literacy in understanding the world of banking is still low, so we hope that we can monitor this together," Sutiaji hoped.
Meanwhile, Head of BI Malang Representative Office Dudi Herawadi said that in accordance with the direction of the Governor of Bank Indonesia, BI Malang will also continue to improve performance, especially performance based on religion. "This religion-based will be different from before, because all our program activities will be based on religion," said Dudi.
"National Non-Cash Movement or e-money We will continue to encourage so that cardization can be reduced slowly. This is also in line with current developments where people use more e-Banking" he concluded. (say/yon)
