The Ministry of Religious Affairs is reintroducing digital-based services for this year's Hajj season. The latest version of the Smart Hajj application is now available and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
"Alhamdulillah, the Smart Hajj application can now be downloaded," explained Director of Overseas Hajj Services Sri Ilham Lubis, in Jakarta, Sunday (15/07).
According to Sri Ilham, this application uses the icon of the Kaaba with the words "SMART HAJJ". A number of services are presented in this application, including: information about accommodation, transportation, and consumption that will be received by pilgrims while in Saudi.
"By entering the group number, for example JKG 01 for group one embarkation Jakarta-Pondok Gede, the congregation can find out where their hotel is while in Medina and Mecca," he explained.
In addition, there is also information on flight schedules, weather in Saudi Arabia, Hajipedia (terms related to Hajj and Umrah), as well as a number of video tutorials on the use of facilities and infrastructure that pilgrims will receive while in the Holy Land.
"This application also provides a complaint feature for pilgrims departing this year. Pilgrims can submit problems encountered during the pilgrimage by logging in using their passport number," explained Sri Ilham.
Sri Ilham hopes that this service can provide convenience to pilgrims in accessing various information regarding the 2018 Hajj pilgrimage.
"For prospective pilgrims who have not yet departed, there is also an estimated departure service. Prospective pilgrims can check their estimated departure year by entering their registration portion number," he concluded.
