Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – Four areas in East Java, namely Malang City, Surabaya City, Pasuruan Regency and Mojokerto Regency, are considered by business practitioners, economists and the media as areas that have potential investment and infrastructure growth.

The previous assessment was carried out through surveys and random tests by the assessment team included in Indonesia Attractiveness Index (IA), nominating more than 40 regions (provinces/cities/regencies) as the best regions for investment, infrastructure, tourism and public services.
“Malang City, which de jure big city but in general de facto metropolis, economic growth always moves in the 5-6 percent digit interval and inflation is at three (plus) minus 1. Investment performance is more dependent on the service and trade sectors and is dominated by the property sector," explained Malang City Regional Secretary Drs. Wasto also emphasized that the business and investment climate in Malang City is moving well, supported by the conduciveness of the region, high community participation, regulatory support, the existence of institutions, workforce (the existence of universities that color the skills of the Malang City workforce and the regional economy.
The panellist team, in the presentation forum held at the Tempo Group multi-purpose building, Tuesday (17/7), provided special notes for Malang City to strengthen the creative sector, including the existence of... start-up which nationally Malang City is considered strong.
